I've lived abroad working online for a very long time. It felt like going out west to find gold. I made my money, way more than enough, and it is time to come back to the US and not live as a foreigner anymore.
I'm looking for a place that is warm year round. Any ideas?
Definitely Minneapolis, Minnesota! You'll just love their autonomous zone.
Yes haha, but too cold
Arizona
Florida
Be more specific. Bocaa Raton? St Augustine?
St Augustine looks amazing, I'm just afraid it is too small and I'd get bored. Used to big cities.
Our cities are mostly bad, or at risk of heading that way soon. War zone bad. You want a safe distance. There are a few exceptions, and FL probably has more of those than any other southern State.
Are you familiar with east coast humidity?
Lived in Thailand, I don't mind humidity I hope.
Ha! I guess you're ok with that. Right on the east coast FL isn't so sweltering if there's a sea breeze, but even a couple miles inland is completely different. You can hang! Lots to pick from, FL man.
Although TX does have a LOT more than just desert outside of the cities. I bet you can find lots of specifics here from locals ...
See that's my problem. I also want to live there...but its a large state and I haven't decided where yet.
I'm generally looking for something medium sized but close to some larger attractions.
You want to avoid South Florida. It's all swamp (literally) and Miami isn't very safe.
But it's got a great Gov, good election processes, a red leaning swing state, warm all year, no state income tax, no property tax for seniors.
I was looking at central FL last month, but want to take another trip driving around before I decide.
Ohio is alright. Just stay away from the bigger cities. Also, winter is pretty crappy, but only lasts for 7 months a year, so there's that.
TX! We need as many voters as possible in TX. Or FL.
Aren't all the cities in TX cucked? I hear such terrible things? I think of Texas as either congested Dim cities or sparsely populated desert land. Please tell me I'm wrong.
I know of no cities in TX that are even close to being anything other than liberal hellholes. But that's true everywhere, with exceptions in the north, and FL. Maybe somebody else can vouch for other exceptions?
I wouldn't consider any city safe in our current environment. If you can put 45 minutes travel time between yourself and the city, and do so strategically, you may be ok and have lots of options.
Missouri
Too cold in winter
It is only cold January to early March. Not bad and many diamonds in the roughs here. Caves, Land, water, Ozarks, Pro USA, etc.
Define 'warm year round' some ppl think 45°F is too cold... I myself think -15°F July is too cold. I do shorts even at 5° if I'm not going to be outside longer than a couple hours. Even places in Arizona get cold in the winter that's why I ask.
I'd suggest Florida, south east or west... ask Florida man
Yes Florida looks good. The bashing of Miami on the front page here is what made me post this.
Haha, well for me 45 is definitely too cold. I grew up in cold climates and I'm done with them. It is hard to throw a bbq with winter jackets on.
I am in Alabama - where it is boiling hot all year - with mosquitoes the size of helicopters. Enjoy!
Wow, fuck mosquitoes.
I could nove have said it better myself - I want to live in North Dakota!
Arizona. We have all four seasons, depending on where in the state you are.
I heard tennessee is super popular.
The southern portion of the Czech republic. good music scene.
lol, what? In the US. Plus cold. Europe is amazing though. I'm preferable towards northen Italy myself though.
