Now that Christians are facing what Christians across the globe have always faced, a small rant from my limited perspective.
I was raised Mormon and most Christians will disregard everything I have to say because of that.
The Golden Rule "treat others as you would like to be treated" and ALL of Christ's teachings seem common place for us. But they are foreign concepts to most of this planet. America is the only country that has even toyed with the idea of Self Governed Individual Rights (built off Christian values of Free Will). Everyone else lives under Tyranny.
Christians forget they are the minority. They are losing the fight. One big point I will give Mormons is their Missionary work. Go spread the word of God across the world and you'll see how different the human race truly is. Eat the food of a starving Family facing Genocide because they are so moved by the concepts we take for granted. Leave your safe space Christian echo-chamber and see what humanity looks like without your value system you assume everyone else has. It's horrifying by comparison.
Atheists do a lot better in Christian nations than Communist ones. Hell, everyone does.
The "extreme" Christians I used to sort of not understand decades ago are the only thing poised to stop the evil left today. We need the Christian religion to stand.
I used to be an atheist . . . until I lived in a world without Jesus. You don't even need to leave the country to find it. There are jungles of festering rot in every major city - lawless lands of death and despair that grind a man's soul into dust. It's not the dogma and doctrines that brought me back into the pastoral Christian fold, I knew them by their fruits. The differences in denominations are but petty squabbles that mean little to me now. We're all brothers and sisters in the same family. And we have a lot of work to do. Praise be to God!
"Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom." - James 3:13
I was naive. If everyone was as good as me, sure, we could do without religion. But dude, most people are not good --- not even close! And that whole "Treat everyone as you want to be treated" does not build a culture at all. Who decides what that means. What about specific situations. We need a unified culture and if it's Christian, all the better.
The mechanism of forgiveness is something the left needs so badly.
For the fedora-tipping intellectuals atheism is an indulgence they can afford because they're surrounded by communities of faith. When the Holy Spirit is driven out there's nothing left but a nihilistic, hedonistic hell where the only thing that matters is the pursuit of carnal lust. I've seen it with my own eyes, and lived it with my own wanton heart. It's what rises up around these two disparate cultures that taught me where the true path to salvation lies. Going through AA/NA I witnessed how embracing a "higher power" spirituality can save and completely transform lives that everyone, even themselves, had given up on. Mine was one of them. I gave myself to Christ because He's the primary unifying force in America, and I absolutely agree with His missionary call to service. It was the practicing of religion which taught me things about God that studying it never could. Trying to assuage humanity's woes through government is just a way to avoid responsibility and stroke your own ego. It's easy to crack a whip and tell someone else to raise a bountiful harvest, much more difficult to roll up your sleeves and plough the field yourself. It may be counter-intuitive, but that's the only way to cultivate the values and personal character that can turn a barren wilderness into a land of milk and honey. The problem with the left is that there are too many chiefs and not enough indians. If you really want to change the world, make something better of yourself and set an example for others to follow. If you earnestly apply yourself to the task you'll find more than enough work to last a lifetime, and the results of your labor will speak louder than words.
What a beautiful post.
A nation is not something that exists simply because you wish it. It must be built. It must work.
Christianity is a part of the United States: individuality, forgiveness, building something bigger than yourself, morality. These things don't just exist out of nowhere. Exactly.
Mormons are retarded, but your sentiment rings true. The "golden rule" is the basis for a stable humanity. No doubt.
I've never felt closer to my community than when I was Mormon. Proof is in the pudding.
I respect that, but at the same time question everything about the faith. Mormonism is like if the boys and girls club of America had a holy scripture. Written by a womanizing polyamorous charlatan who had a penchant for younger women. Not being woke. Not hating on religion. And not discounting charitable contributions. But the whole ideology of Mormonism is completely sideways. Still, much respect for your sense of community and mission work.
I'm still relatively atheist that treats it all as philosophy and end result.
The pope is a Globalist pedophile sucking Islam's dick instead of protecting Christians from genocide and pedo priests are a frequent scandal.
Mormons are group dating instead of teenage drinking, ballroom dancing instead of twerking, and doing silly picture scavenger hunts instead of watching/producing porn.
Plus when did Boy Scouts turn into Pedo paradise? When it was 90% Mormon or when cucked Christians let everyone else in?
Mormons have their issues, for sure. Especially temple/marriage stuff. But who's producing better end results? Seriously?
Humm... China seems to be doing well for itself. Not exactly a christian nation. And there are lots of "christian" nations that are not successful. Mexico for one...
Christian and what that means has changed over time. From Deus Vult to "treat others as you would like to be treated"...
The bottom line is that might makes right.
One generation ago Curtis Le May "In a three-hour period, the main bombing force dropped 1,665 tons of incendiary bombs, killing 100,000 civilians, destroying 250,000 buildings, and incinerating 16 square miles (41 km2) of the city (Tokyo). Aircrews at the tail end of the bomber stream reported that the stench of burned human flesh permeated the aircraft over the target."
This is what Christians did to assert dominance over other races and religions ONE GENERATION AGO.
Christians of today are weak and cowardly.
And the WEAK SHALL PERISH.
China is doing well for itself..... Other than the Slavery, genocide, mass starvation, and crumbling dams threatening countless lives. But other than that, fan-freakin-tastic!
Expand your world view.
Didn't see slow death of their race and culture on that list...
So yeah... they are doing much better than Whites in America.
Get your priories straight.
You weak "christian" "conservative" cuck.
