Now that Christians are facing what Christians across the globe have always faced, a small rant from my limited perspective.

I was raised Mormon and most Christians will disregard everything I have to say because of that.

The Golden Rule "treat others as you would like to be treated" and ALL of Christ's teachings seem common place for us. But they are foreign concepts to most of this planet. America is the only country that has even toyed with the idea of Self Governed Individual Rights (built off Christian values of Free Will). Everyone else lives under Tyranny.

Christians forget they are the minority. They are losing the fight. One big point I will give Mormons is their Missionary work. Go spread the word of God across the world and you'll see how different the human race truly is. Eat the food of a starving Family facing Genocide because they are so moved by the concepts we take for granted. Leave your safe space Christian echo-chamber and see what humanity looks like without your value system you assume everyone else has. It's horrifying by comparison.

Mormons are retarded, but your sentiment rings true. The "golden rule" is the basis for a stable humanity. No doubt.

I've never felt closer to my community than when I was Mormon. Proof is in the pudding.

I respect that, but at the same time question everything about the faith. Mormonism is like if the boys and girls club of America had a holy scripture. Written by a womanizing polyamorous charlatan who had a penchant for younger women. Not being woke. Not hating on religion. And not discounting charitable contributions. But the whole ideology of Mormonism is completely sideways. Still, much respect for your sense of community and mission work.
