My father was pretty much the last of the brain trust at his job before he was forcibly retired a few years back. A few months after it happened he got drunk enough to start talking shit about how the job had changed from leading a team of research engineers, to basically hand holding a bunch of kids that were not hired on merit and couldn't hold a candle to the old team.
