When GEOTUS Trump was in office, The automakers were massively busy building/revamping factories in the US and looking to move back INTO the US and OUT of Mexico (most of the Mexican plants center around the city of Saltillo).
FCA (Dodge/Ram/Chrysler) is still in-process with building their new factory in Warren, MI, but it's being slow-walked, and got re-purposed from being a truck-building facility to building Jeep Cherokees (and even that might have changed recently.) Ford, as you can see, decided to say 'fuck it' and shove even more production to Saltillo. Nobody knows WTF Scary Mary is doing with GM these days, because she's still hell-bent on expanding manufacturing in China.
