I legit wouldn't. People romanticize the hell out of working for Tesla or SpaceX. You have to remember that because they're a monopoly in both cases, they can afford to treat their employees like shit, because there's no one else in the industry those employees could go to if they quit.
Bullshit, i have a friend that worked as a machinist setup and operator at SpaceX, he said it was an awesome work environment, he had a blanket line item PO approval for tooling and machinery of 100k, meaning if he needed ANYTHING that cost less than 100k he could PO it himself. Anything they needed to meet deadlines, he would call HAAS and say "I need another VF4" and it would be delivered the next day, no need to get approval from the bean counters or anything.
They expected excellence from their employees, and gave them the responsibilities and pay to match it, Incredibly fast pace and high accuracy work, It's for the best of the best in their fields, not lazy people.
He ended up parlaying that "mid-entry level" job into running the complete production environment for a military aerospace company where his insane attention to speed and detail nearly tripled their production rate, they went from running 5 days a week 2 and sometimes 3 shifts, to a single shift of 4 10s, with everyone getting friday off.
This is categorically false on all fronts. You legit have no idea what you're talking about. SpaceX and Teslas are monopolies? Anyone who takes you seriously after reading that is fucking retarded. I'm not even going to address the other untruths because they are that fucking stupid.
Also, I've heard reports that apparantly, Tesla and SpaceX employees work absurd hours despite being a developed company, thrive only on subsidies from government, and do actually treat their workers poorly.
They do work very hard and sometimes long hours, but their employees are treated very well, and compensated generously including the ability to buy stock (not available to the public in the case of spacex, and is worth its weight in gold). I had a buddy that worked there and he said it was absolutely amazing, they give their employees a ton of responsibility and expect excellence from them in return. It's the best of the best, hardest workers, definitely not for everyone.
I said 'they can afford to' for a reason you know. Doesn't matter if they treat their employees well or not, what I said is still true. People forget how hard it really is to change jobs. Uprooting your life is a lot to ask. Too much for most people. Even if their not a true monopoly, the have an overwhelming majority market share. They could abuse that power if they wanted to.
On an unrelated note, Elon's technically a genius, but an idiot when it comes to values. He's a champagne socialist and a transhumanist. I don't know why anyone here defends him.

This is the capitalism of dreams.
No protection of slackers and do nothings... sound like a great place to work.

Elon is the government graft king.
Don't hate the player, hate the game.
At least he uses his money for good causes (like space travel)

Yeah, but you get to blow stuff up like, all the time. They've got to be doing it for fun now.
On the plus side, they get to blow stuff up and get paid for it.
Jeez. It seems I bothered some people.
