Informed Asians with commonsense would know the difference.
Since more than 98% of all mass shootings happened in gun-free zones in US, it's obvious that the shooters chose their targets very carefully, and this recent incident is in no exception. Most Asian women working in massage parlors were illegals in some form (trafficked or overstaying their visas), unfortunately, and as such, they could not legally buy or own arms to defend themselves. So instead of unleashing his rage on white (legal) hookers with guns or protected by their pimps with guns, this psychotic loser chose to target the defenseless.
I expect Asian massage parlors would start arming themselves. Many other types of Asian small businesses already did arm themselves after the Floyd riots in which their shops were looted, burned, and destroyed by blacks, not to mention the recent spate of anti-Asian hate crimes in which all the attackers have been blacks & Muslim savages and not whites.
Edit: It is unknown whether this recent parlor shooting was race-based or hate-crime, as the shooter himself already said it wasn't, but based on facts and commonsense alone, one cannot logically conclude that this is was a race-based hate crime in action.
