This is the left and the medias way of telling blacks to stop assaulting Asians. They can't just simply say "black people, stop your violence against Asians." That would be racist. So they pretend it's white supremacists beating up and killing elderly Asians in NY and SF, hoping that black people will say to themselves "oh, if we assault Asians then we're no better than white supremacists."
