1.) They're going to arrest you, no matter what you say. There's no amount of talking your way out of it. They're there to hook you and book you.
2.) They're trying to get you to say something so they can arrest you over some kind of event that took place that they can arrest you for. And they are RELENTLESS about it.
And it should be that way. I mean, I don't think it's cool they can lie to you or entrap you in words or confuse you into saying something so they can arrest you. I think that's bullshit, but they shouldn't be there to scare or scold.
