Russia has better planes, they have better tanks, they have FAR better Special Forces, they have better soldiers, they have better firearms, they have better equipment, they have better submarines, they have better aircraft carriers, they have better warships, they have better bombers, they have better missiles, they have better drones, the list goes on.
Russia would utterly ruin our military. It doesn't matter if they engaged us on our soil or theirs. They would obliterate the Marine Corps, the Army, the Navy, the Air Force. Our soldiers would be too worried about how to correctly gender address a POW or panic because their nail polish doesn't match their BDU's. That is something the U.S. military is completely incapable of doing, and a conventional war would see the negation or destruction of both sides' satellites.
The U.S. surface fleet is also entirely useless since its greatest strength is also its greatest weakness; aircraft carriers are slow moving and vulnerable targets. On top of that, modern Russian air defense systems are fully capable of tracking and targeting U.S. aircraft.
Any war fought away from U.S. soil against the Russians would be a fucking disaster.
