If you own shares in publicly traded companies, this is what stupid activists are doing. They're putting all these propositions up for shareholder vote. If shareholders vote in favor of it then the corporation publicly discloses this information and the activists will use it to attack the corporation.

I don't own enough shares in any companies to really make a difference, but really... no major shareholders in their right mind would want to do this, unless they were an activist trader who came in for the meetings and then got out after them.

Like the board is interested in "Stock Buybacks" and things that make the company more successful, not less.

Exactly. I don't think I've ever seen one of these activist proposal ever pass.
