The talk of race, equity and all this woke shit I don't really give it too much thought. Not that I don't care but it feels like a smokescreen. We get bogged down in this nonsense and people, both on the left and right, don't pay that much attention to it because it has no impact on their day to day lives. How many gay and trans people do you know? Do the people in your neighborhood or in your workplace talks about race non stop or do you get along?
Bigger issues are much more important. Immigration, corruption, breakdown of law and order, loss of jobs, higher taxes, attacks on our freedoms, gas prices --- those issues matter because it impacts everyone except the elite.
The issues that get the most attention are fringe issues, Dr. Seuss type stuff, but the real issues of racism are never addressed. Why is racism so alive today because it works for the Democrats. It is the weapon that wins all battles because no one has the courage to talk about it. When you keep a subject in the closet it is scary because you don't know how to address it.
What was theraputic about Trump is because someone said it for us. Everyone thinks these thoughts and finally someone said it. It came out of the closet and it felt good. Trump wasn't racist and you know when someone is not racist because he was willing to talk about it to anyone.
Most people of all "colors" I have worked with over the years think the race baiting and implied bigotry is a ridiculous lie.. There are a few that believed in it and they were the disruptors always accusing and complaining in such creating a self fulfilling prophecy..
He got more black votes than any republican in 60 years. It's having an impact alright. Democrats are losing the black vote. The game of preying on them for decades is finally ending. Look what they got supporting Democrats. Their neighborhoods got worse, black unemployment got worse and Democrats care more about illegal aliens than black US citizens.
Our greatest advantage is that they don't understand us, black and white, because they don't want to. They rather have people take polls while they live in their mansions, go on the cocktail circuit, and live on the coasts.
You're right that it's a smokescreen, but wrong that it doesn't matter. It is the tip of the spear, the foot in the door, etc, for all the rest of their bullshit LIKE immigration, corruption, loss of rights etc. This has been known by communists for a very long time and has always been at the core of their strategy to topple America. We should be fighting back against it the same way we should've been fighting back against facial diapers tooth & nail, because it's the most visible and emblematic representation of the war against Liberty as a whole.
I have tried to ask my work place's "Diversity, Equity and Inclusion" board (yes, we have one) is all black folks. That does not seem diverse, equitable, or inclusive at all. They don't like that question and won't answer it, but it makes them uncomfortable because it reveals the truth.
Start pushing back in any way you can, even small ways like that.
Fetch -- Yea you are right. I didn't want to say it was unimportant but once we don't stomp on the foot in the door, the door remains open. I think they are hitting us with so many ways and from every direction it is hard to focus on what is worth fighting for right now. What is also taking place is time and energy is being used up and as we return to the workplace we won't have the time and energy to return to this level of awareness. They released everything at the same time to distance themselves from the steal and fake coup but we will never forget but it might not matter in the end.
MagaS-- totally agree. This is all one big distraction and they are trying to hit us fast and hard so our heads will spin and bullets fly. They are starting to run out of time because they are starting to turn off their base with broken promises for the masses and presents for the privledged. Black people got the worst end of the deal because they are being replaced by hispanics. Hispanics, by and large, do not align with liberal values and are more conservative.
