The whole point of a free press is for them to vet stories, candidates, appointees, speak truth to power, hold people accountable, and ask the hard questions.
If the journalist is feeling polite, an acceptable response would be "No offense intended but my question remains the same".
This d-bag is in the wrong profession if THAT question was disrespectful to him. We have the right to know and he has a duty to answer the question. Not give some feigned attempt to cite "disrespectful" in order to evade the question. 🙄
