ok, remember that when you go to work maskless and the employer has made it part of your duty until they no longer feel fear of being sued if someone comes down with covid and they let you go without a mask. A lot of places that aren't just blindly complying are forcing their own mask mandate because they fear ambulance chaser lawsuits if someone visits their establishment, tests positive for covid sometime later and tries to allege (or "contact tracing" identifies) their place responsible for not enforcing a mask policy. They're doing it to cover their own ass from frivolous lawsuits from the scum lawyers just itching to cash in on the pandemic from a legal standpoint. Even if the case is thrown out, the establishment still has to retain legal representation to defend themselves which isn't cheap and stores that aren't big box don't have the cash to defend themselves.
