He was the guy who helped Snowden get his message out and helped Snowden sneak out of the country.

Greenwald dealt with A LOT of shit during that time, and he watched those three letter agencies completely ruin Snowden's life (and his family's life) because Snowden had the balls to show the citizens of the country just how evil and overbearing the government is. I disagree with a lot of things about Greenwald, but when it comes to the overreaching three letter agencies and their overbearing power, he's typically right on target with his takes.

I'm still disappointed that Trump didn't pardon Snowden, but I guarantee there was a lot of pressure coming down on him not to. They probably threatened Trump's life and his family no doubt. And even then, if Snowden came back I guarantee they'd kill him anyway.

It makes me sad how Snowden has essentially been forgotten about. Like yes, lots of people know about him and who he is - but the man should be considered a hero in this country. Meanwhile we make statues for George Floyd instead
