When I was a kid, rhinos were about to disappear. One rhino subpopulation, the southern white rhino, was in a country that legalized the ranching of rhinos and the sale of their horn through a legal market. The others were treated with conventional environmentalism.
In the interim, a couple of species went extinct, and there are few left even in captivity of several species...
Except for the southern white rhino. There are tens of thousands of them! Watching this happen has been almost the largest red pill of my whole life. As a real conservationist, results are what I want: not slogans and tear-jerking songs.
