Yes, but now you'll be double taxed (still pay tolls and also be taxed by the mile).
Tyrants love new taxes, so they can funnel taxpayer money around to get rich.
The roads are total shit in my state, and you have to pay an annual tax on your car. The transportation department people all just declared themselves a raise from $195k/year to $290k per year.
Like fucking cars are the cause of climate change, smfh. We ship materials all the way to fucking china to their factories and then ship the finished goods all the fucking way back on giant ass ships
So essentially private vehicles will be taxed like interstate CDL carriers? Also, doesn't the taxes included in the gas price cover this shit? I just had to reallot the taxes if I didn't fuel in a state and just did a drive through, all based on miles...
Isn't that what toll roads are?

Triple taxed, we already pay a large tax on gasoline. The feds make more on a gallon than the "evil" oil compaies do.
Yes, but toll roads are essentially privately owned and funded.
How is electricity made?
Why do we pay vehicle registration fees?
Where does the gas tax actually end up?
Kilowatt hour tax on your electric bill?
Answer these questions and you’ll see why they want to tax mileage. Their gas tax cash cow will evaporate.
In order to tax you this way they can also justify tracking you.

Vehicle registration is supposed to pay for the roads and their maintenance. Larger vehicles with more axles that do more damage pay more.
This is why some drivers hate the bicycle lanes replacing driving lanes. Bicyclists don’t pay any usage fees to use the road.
Utah and Oregon are the states mentioned
So when 5g is rolled and your car is connected to the net, they'll be able to shut your car down when you don't pay it.
They force you to pay less by linking a card to the system. So every 100 miles they automatically take the cash.
I’ll be king of the road in my 69 dodge van!!
They made the vehicles too efficient so they don't get enough gas taxes...
