There’s something called the scientific method and in order for a discipline to be considered science, it has to follow it. Period. End of story. Calling it science doesn’t make it science.

Also logic and reasoning goes back centuries. Critical thinking is the study of rational thought and is not random or subjective. Sure, it’s been perverted, but as a rule, it has been around forever.
