What's taking so long is Torba doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut and drives people away from his platform. Should he just free speech instead of the face of your company going all extreme political in public. That kind of stuff prevents gab from ever being anything but a niche platform.
That plus the most influential conservatives are selfish sell outs who can't be bothered to coordinate with each other and consolidate around another platform. If they did that they wouod cause a mass exodus but right now why should the little guy stop using youtube and twitter when some of the most mainstream conservatives are still there waiting for the crocodile?
I am gonna get downvoted to hell for saying this but I don’t care. Torba does need to shut the fuck up a bit if he wants Gab to be a major platform. Saying things like “we’re being hacked by satanic demon trannies.” doesn’t play well with normies, centrists, people right of center, etc... that kind of shit is off putting to anyone outside of our circle of people.
Do we want a free speech platform or an echo chamber like twitter? Pretty sure we already have an echo chamber called Patriots dot win. We don’t need multiple echo chambers. We need a platform we can engage in open discussion with all kinds of people or else this country will just be more and more divided as people segregate themselves away from people with different opinions. Remember who the enemy is: the establishment. The left are useful idiots to the establishment but we need to open their eyes if we want to ever truly take back this country for the people. We can’t do that if we lock ourselves away from them. Anyone who can’t see that has become just as “radical” as the people on the left.
