Federal Law prohibits hiring someone who has used Marijuana in the past year. My guess: the staffer had lied about using on a job application or got caught using recently.
As someone like myself who has grown up in such a pro-weed part of the country, its so insane to me that federal law still prohibits it. Now that lefties have full control of government they better pass weed reform declassify weed, but they will probably just pay lip service to their side. They gave Republicans massive shit a few months back for not passing Crazy Nancy’s decriminalization law, so now they better act.
