Democrats are totally unaware of how economics work (which is why they should not be in charge of our budget--some independent body should give them a budget and make them make choices on how the money is spent).

Law of economics is supply and demand. The more people that are available, the lower the wages are. The more of a demand there is for jobs to be filled, the higher the salaries are. It is a balancing act but apparently way beyond the understanding of Congress.
