I'm not against online services. It's probably a better deal for many vendors. It happened to the music industry first. It costs too much money to pay for shelf space and all the other middle men.
There are a bunch of high quality Chinese electronics available right now. Look at DJI and their drones for example. Can't get much more premium than that.
I think AI is going to create abundance and prosperity for everyone. It's just too powerful of a technology NOT TO.
Change is scary but inevitable. And the so called elites don't have as much control as they think they do.
Oh wow, you referenced Black Mirror. That sure showed me.
We have tons of incredibly powerful technology at our fingerprints NOW that goes tragically under utilized. If you just use the internet for porn and cat videos, that's on you. Same goes for how you use GPT-4.
I was referencing your post and claims of AI and abundance.
As we become more affluent and less reliant on each other have you seen us become more unified? Or have you seen the fabrics of society start to fissure? We have a resilient society because our infrastructure is maintained by many individuals who by and large have purpose and ethic. The further you get from the farmlands, the more you engorge on luxury, the more disconnected your world view gets, the more you worry about carbon footprints, the more you develop sub cultures and divides.
An opulent ruling class has NEVER in history, cared for the underclasses beyond how they can exploit them.
How easy would it be to tear down a society totally removed from their own survival, coddled by AI?
I feel incredibly blessed just to have clean drinking water and heat in the winter time. I work minimum wage 30 hours per week and still have money left over for luxuries. If I actually TRIED, I could have even more luxury.
Don't underestimate all of the truth that gets distributed through podcasts, YouTube, and forums such as this. You can't spit up redpills, and Trump gave them out like candies these last 4 years.
Sheep are always going to be with us, and now we've had the luxury of seeing how many of our neighbors are retarded. That seems like a level up to me.
We're already coddled by AI. "The ALGORITHM" has actually done a ton of redpilling too if you train it to show you good shit.
It's going to create abundance for those that can profit off of it. It's going to greatly enlarge the serf class for those that cannot. There being a well made drone from China isn't the point. The point is that American elites have slowly sold out our birthright. These billion dollar high tech factories in China should be built here.
I care very little about the mask wearing masses. I'm not going to be one of them. I'm going to move up the dominance hierarchies and be one of those people who "profit off of it". It's accessible to everyone, but most are too lazy to reach for it.

How easy would it be to 3d print an army of lethal tiny drones to destroy all life or a selective group from the planet? Or a virus?
U think once we're all sitting in a cube, worthless to each other our lot in life is going to get better?
You're delusional.

You won't see AI in your lifetime. Go read the work of the bleeding edge researchers into it, they don't even know if it will ever exist.
What you'll see is more and more complex skip logic. That will break, quite often.
You're fucking dumb. Go spend an hour at 2-minute papers on YouTube. AI (machine learning in particular) has already been with us for years already.
Ah, name calling.
