First, there was the idea that nobles were equal to the king. (Magna Carta)
Then the idea that everyone was equal. (US Constitution)
Then there was the elimination of slavery.
Then there was giving women equal rights to men.
Then there was the elimination of Jim Crow-type laws.
Now things start to go off the rails.
Women are equal to men, but why do women get paid less than men? Then you have laws for gender quotas and other abusive things.
All ethnic groups are equal, but why do some perform less? Then you have affirmative action.
Everyone is equal, but some groups are overrepresented in prison. This led to the idiot progressive idea of no longer prosecuting crime.
Even with affirmative action, not all groups are performing equally. Now you have the idiot idea of equity. (i.e. communism under another name)
It went from "don't beat someone up because they're homosexual" to "Let's give puberty blockers to children.", because everyone should have equal chance to choose their gender.
Basically, "All men are created equal" taken to its logical extreme means "equity", "don't prosecute criminals" and all the other stupid modern progressive ideas.
Well written. Truth of the matter is that demographic groups are not equal. Women are not equal to men; they are inferior. Non-whties are not equal to whites; they are inferior. Once you start pretending otherwise, you get mandates to support lesser entities through things like welfare.
Women are extremely inferior which is why they are heavily dependent on men for survival. In our present era of opulence and abundance, we don't notice just how dependent women are upon men. We do all the work in construction, plumbing, power generation, sewage, engineering, and medicine in order to uplift the human condition beyond darkness and poverty of hunter gatherer tribes.
