The Tolerant Left hates Conservative Christians, so they want to ban them from police work to culturally-cleanse the police force of "hate." (I assume their goal is to "defeat hatred" by doing away with everyone they hate.)

I saw the overview of a study showing the predictable results of banishing white officers from policing POC neighborhoods: the races of the officers shooting in self-defense changed, the number of "officer-involved shootings" did not (and rose along with the crime rate.) As long as resisting arrest and attacking police are a common and escalating issue, there will be officer-involved shootings even if the police forces nationwide were all black/Hispanic/Asian/POC/LGBT/Furry.
