This is a good start, but we could add a few more to get it to a 10 Commandments:

  1. Do not use alcohol or drugs to numb emotional pain.

  2. Choose your spouse with extreme care.

  3. Save more than you spend.

  4. Vote in your own interests.

  5. Do not commit a crime.

  6. Pursue moral/spiritual education within a community.

  7. Be a strict parent.

No, don't vote for your selfish interests; Democrats do that. Vote in the interest of a free, fair, moral country.

Good luck on #8. I forget the exact numbers but I remember hearing that - because of the sheer number of laws and regulations in this country - each of us unintentionally commits multiple felonies every day.

Maybe change to "make friends with a lawyer in case you unintentionally commit a crime"? :)
