Good luck on #8. I forget the exact numbers but I remember hearing that - because of the sheer number of laws and regulations in this country - each of us unintentionally commits multiple felonies every day.
This is a good start, but we could add a few more to get it to a 10 Commandments:
Do not use alcohol or drugs to numb emotional pain.
Choose your spouse with extreme care.
Save more than you spend.
Vote in your own interests.
Do not commit a crime.
Pursue moral/spiritual education within a community.
Be a strict parent.
No, don't vote for your selfish interests; Democrats do that. Vote in the interest of a free, fair, moral country.
But that is in my interest.
That's the mark of a true patriot

Maybe change to "make friends with a lawyer in case you unintentionally commit a crime"? :)
