Eh, I don't know about that. Based on my own experience if a student is a real problem, the teachers are more tempted to pass them just to get them the hell out of their hair.
I have seen some that get petty and vindictive, but it's usually fucking up their GPA so they can't get into AP/get scholarships or they have to go to summer school -- never not graduate.
PSA: neither attitude is the correct one to take...although I do understand the first one (the rumors are true; right before the start of a semester that was me, kneeling and praying "please, pluuuuleeeeze Jesus, I don't want to see X in my class again, please!")
