It’s beyond ridiculous that we’re even dignifying the trans attack by acting as if it’s something that requires legislation. “This is the girls track and field team and you’re not a girl in the sense understood by the creators of sports for boys and girls.” Done.
But Noem obviously agrees, thing is unemployment is a real vile thing and explaining to men and women without jobs that it was worth it cause three freaks didn’t get to play with the girls...
Also, have not read the whole bill, but excerpts suggest it is poorly worded. While almost all humans are clearly male or female, there are legitimate cases of people with genetic abnormalities like XXY and there are intersex people/hermaphrodites.
I think that schools should have the power to set up their eligibility rules and enforce those. They already discriminate on all sorts of criteria: age, geography, medical doctor waiver, academic performance, abstinence from drugs and alcohol.
Having said all of that, if South Dakota can’t even defend Title IX and the idea that girls and boys are different- well we already lost this culture war decades ago but it’s vile clown time.
Coach at a school got fired and lost in court that he should be able to exercise his 1st Amendment right after a game to say a prayer.
What’s so bizarre and pathetic is to see a juggernaut like Amazon get this so wrong. Threaten jobs and profits to punish people for wanting girls to play sports with girls? Really Bezos?? Democracy has died in darkness.
