What I don't get is that while Ms. Noem technically didn't close her state, Sioux Falls still had its own mandates, and yet everyone celebrates her. Governor Reynolds here in Iowa did do some restrictions a couple times, not for really long. However, she also purposefully keeps signing "emergency proclamations" in Iowa with no restrictions, because it keeps local governments from being able to one-up and add BS like mask mandates or anything. Therefore, she's been PROTECTING US from stupid ordinances. She also told the CDC to go pound sand a few months ago and rejected any more reports from them. Take a look at the awesome bills we have zooming through our Assembly right now too: critical race theory ban, constitutional carry, big tech censorship penalties, massive abortion restrictions, bans on defunding of police by local governments, and now they're talking about looking at tax cuts and reduced regulation. Reynolds is a massive Trump fan. Iowa has way more people than South Dakota as well. I feel like there's not a huge reason to be worshiping Noem, and there's some group out there that reaaaaally wants us to. There may be some other good, based, decent, conservative politicians out there that are better as well, but personally I just happen to know Iowa, since that's where I am. Noem's not bad, but she's only "just okay". Noem is not presidential material.
