Plenty of fools don't understand until they are already in the trap and then the door closes behind them. Let me be clear it is not a hand wringing pity full of tears and woe. It is a subtler emotion closer to, "What a senseless waste of the gifts that life has given to you. May god have mercy upon your soul."
