Nonsense! BBQ is the perfect regular people food. Still is. Aaron (and many many others) show you how easy it is to make it yourself in your own backyard. If you want him to do the work for you then he'll gladly sell it to you, but it's stupid easy to do on your own for only the cost of meat and a BBQ pit.

I know you can make it yourself, but that's not what I'm talking about. Texas barbecue places used to offer affordable family meals. That's no longer the case for the most part. Franklin almost singlehandedly drove up prices in less than a decade, to the point where it's almost $100 or more to feed the family after church even at a standard (not upscale) place like Rudy's.

It's like what Starbucks did to the coffee market. It created a mass market for expensive coffee (whether or not you think it's good) and now even the crummiest coffee is three times as expensive.

I'm a capitalist, so I get it. But that doesn't mean I like it.
