I don't think anime is worse. Just like how there is weird stuff in any country's media. It just depends on what you watch. There are all kinds of anime, even educational anime like Cells at Work which teaches biology and even warns against excessive drinking and smoking. Though if anime isn't your cup of tea I understand and respect your opinion, it was a suggestion.
