Robots are not cheap to make, to purchase, to operate or maintain. They become the inevitable option only when the cost of hiring people gets too high.
What explains why you don't mention its disadvantages which are:
-robot is specialized in some repeatable manual work and wouldn't do anything other because usually it lacks more sensor that it "need'. And even if not - doing anything new means employing programmer programming robots. Computer programming is easier. Don't know about America but I guess computer programmers can be better paid that those working in automatics and robotics.
cheaper than humans if humans do whole time work robot can do (see above)
cheaper only to the moment they fail. Good luck with firing robot and getting new working well cheaply at normal cost of its maintenance. Maybe repairing robot is cheaper that funding hospital for employee - but who funds hospital with full curing to employee in America (Everybody would name it: socialist nonsense). But robot... You have no choice about robot. And if programmer not predicted something then it would fail in the moment you wouldn't suppose...

They are cheaper than humans- they don’t make mistakes and they work with minimal maintenance. I’ve worked in robotics for over 20 years.
