Let's say Biden declares martial law under the insurrection act (line maybe Trump should have done), and orders military personnel to begin confiscating guns, starting at the addresses that have filled out background check forms in the past twenty years.
You receive the order and, true to your word, refuse to comply.
Are you immediately arrested by your fellow MPs? Are you compatriots based enough to stand with you in refusing the order? Are you ready to actually stand against US military enforcing that unconstitutional order?
Do we see firefights breaking out between units? Does 80%+ of the military refuse the order?

When people talk about sworn officers, and taking an oath when you sign up for the military, that oath states you will defend and uphold the constitution. Members of the military and law enforcement and legally obligated to not follow any order that directly violates the constitution. That being said, if the dems do abolish the second amendment somehow I genuinely believe the majority of enlisted soldiers would go awol and cops would side largely with the people, at least in the more rural parts of the country. I live in small town Florida, Grady Judd is the sheriff of polk county, and there's no way in hell he would have any part of a gun confiscation. He has sword to protect the lives and rights of the people in his county. I think my sheriff's department would do the same
I polled some blue belly co-workers once about this. As long as they were A) getting overtime pay and B) being "ordered" to do it so they aren't held liable, then they WOULD violate our rights going door to door taking guns!!!

I think it depends on city, local politics abs unions. Blue cities . They coming for you for sure .
I think red counties with patriot sheriffs are our best chance .
