I spent 5 years in Army JROTC, as a black female in HS, and wanted to join the Corps of cadets at Texas A&M, but after some things happened, I ended up in law enforcement instead.
I want to see more females out there but only in roles where we are the most effective and not getting ourselves or our male counterparts killed. Superhero movies are almost unwatchable for the unrealistic female/male action scene choreography.
Having to wrestle with men in training or IRL is always an unforgiving reminder of where I stand regarding natural strength and speed and how reliant I have to be on the only equalizer I possess to give me a chance on the streets—a handgun.
Unpopular Opinion: i want MOAR women in the military
