A friend of mine who is a raging leftist (yes, I know) invited my family and me to visit her summer house this summer, but she said we have to be vaccinated. I told her that if she and her family are vaccinated, why should it matter whether we are vaccinated? If the vaccine works, you're protected. It's been a while since I've gone to school, but I'm pretty sure that's what a vaccine is supposed to do.
She claimed that the vaccine does not protect you from getting covid, but it lessens the symptoms when you get it. I have no idea whether this is the case, but it sounds pretty weird to me. I reminded her that in my family we all have had it already and with minimal symptoms, they really couldn't have been much less. I told her that if the vaccine doesn't prevent people from getting the virus, then the vaccine sucks and there's no point in us getting it. I told her that if it will make her feel better, I'll lie to her and say we all got it if we decide to come. Not that we will actually go, because my wife doesn't want to associate with any democrats anymore, but that's another story.
Very bizarre, these leftists.
The most sinister part of the COVID bullshit is that in order for you to be “protected,” it requires others to do things. That immediately introduces a power struggle to put us all at odds, because your own safety no longer depends on what you do, it depends on you making sure others are doing it.
I wish there was a way to stuff Anthony Fauci up his own ass.
