This is what happens when every foodstuff is loaded with sugar.

I doubt she's eating that, unless by accident.

Ummm, sugar is not the reason she is fat. I eat that same 'sugar food' and am nowhere near as fat

I read that high fructose corn syrup was introduced into food in the 70s and it's in many, many things. People who grew up in the 50s say that it was rare to see an overweight person. Now they seem to be everywhere. Whenever I want to lose some weight I always cut out anything with sugar and eat more meats. Seems to work well.

Crap genes combined with crap willpower, combined with modern day food. It all contributes.

It's not sugar, it's overconsumption of polyunsaturated fats. Look up Tucker Goodrich interviews for more.

Sugar elevation over long periods of time is bad, which is why aspartame is worse than HFCS. Sugar can't make you fat unless you're already metabolically compromised. Granted, high sugar 24/7 will cause obesity, but only because it's compromising metabolism. It's rather hard to keep spiking your sugar like that. Diabetics are told to eat 5 times a day, which only exacerbates the issue.
