From what I’ve gathered, measles is extremely virulent with 1 person capable of infecting up to 18 people and a full 90% of those around an infected person becoming infected.

Mumps isn’t nearly as virulent, but the resulting encephalitis, meningitis, pancreatitis and fertility problems are quite troubling.

As for the vaccines causing more trouble, I’m not so sure. Worldwide, before the vaccine for measles, there were around 2.5 million deaths. After 85% of the children had been vaccinated, that number plummeted to just over 100 thousand. As for the vaccine killing children in america, there’s been some 100 or so cases reported over a ten year period in this century. While the number of measles deaths was barely 20 people, you have to take into account the fact that 95% of kids are vaccinated.

Also, the vaccines for those diseases are actual attenuated forms of the virus itself. They are far more likely to provide long term immunity. The only reason we are seeing the mRNA therapy is because they are cheaper and quicker to make as growing actual viruses in the lab is foregone for synthetic sequencing.
