Bitcoin (BTC) is not useful as a currency. It was intentionally hobbled by bankers, and doesn't even have the transaction capacity to be traded. It can handle about 7 transactions per second. It's a pure fake coin that only works as long as someone (a banker) holds it for you in custody.
Bitcoin Cash (BCH) was not compromised, so it can handle maybe hundreds of transactions per second, but that's still a long shot from VISA which handles tens of thousands. It uses the same proof of work as BTC, so it's vulnerable at any time to disruption by BTC miners.
I'm not aware of any cryptocoin that has the fundamentals to become a widely used transaction platform. As far as I know, none has solved what Bitcoin failed to solve, which is that you have to choose 2 from secure, fast, or decentralized.
