Read it and don't act like the Taliban or ISIS and have someone else interpret it for you.

Excellent advice. I have and recommend all pedes read a legitimate, authorized translation of the Koran, arranged in chronological order. We must learn what Muslims know - not what they tell us, which is often not the truth. Knowledge is power.

  • Start by reading the entire Koran in chronological order. Contrary to what Muslims will tell you, it's neither long nor difficult to understand. I recommend the complete Pickthall translation from 1930. It is authorized by Al-Azhar University, Egypt's oldest degree-granting university and one of the most prestigious Islamic universities, and translated by a native English speaker.

  • Get a print version as online versions can be and often are re-written. Avoid more recent translations as these are usually tainted by the interpreter's preferences, particularly in catering to contemporary Western tastes.

  • Avoid the "Qurans" Muslims typically push on Westerners, e.g., Muhammad Asad's The Message of the Quran, pushed by CAIR. These are not the actual Quran but whitewashed, watered-down versions, changed to appeal to Western mores.

  • Understand the concept of naskh or abrogation in the Koran. Naskh means that when two verses in the Koran contradict each other, the later verse is the correct one and cancels out the earlier one. This is stated in the Koran itself, 2:106 and 16:101. Few non-Muslims know about naskh, and Muslims exploit this to trick outsiders about what the Koran says. It is also why reading the Koran in chronological order is so important.

  • Learn about the 1400 years of Muslim deception in the forms of taquiyya, kitman, tawriya, and muruna.

  • Understand what dawah is and how it works. Dawah is an Islamic tool to promote Muslim supremacy and hatred against non-Muslims. It's used to destroy political institutions in Western countries and replace them with Sharia. This pdf written by Ayaan Hirsi Ali explains it well. An ex-Muslim who was also a dawah agent explains it further here.

  • This excellent article by a Danish psychologist explains a lot about Muslim anger, violence, lack of self control and lack of personal accountability. It also explains why they can never assimilate into Western cultures.

  • Inbreeding is a real problem in the Islamic world. It explains some of their murderous anger and other mental illnesses, too. You can read more about it in these academic papers: "Consanguinity and Reproductive Health Among Arabs" and "Consanguineous Marriages in the Middle East: Nature Versus Nurture."
