Trying to make sense of their "reasoning" is impossible. First they said gender was a social construct. Then they said that sex is too. And now there are 73 or more genders. Who constructed those? And why are hormone-blockers/ surgeries necessary if gender and sex aren't real? The malpractice suits can't come soon enough.
