When I was a kid in the 90s my mom used to scold my grandma and tell me not to repeat her racist words when she called blacks “colored people” and now we put them on a pedestal by referring to them as “people of color” I’m so confused

I remember watching "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" and Sydney Poitier's character insisted in being referred to as NEGRO. I guess he was a White Supremacist by today's idiotic standards.

ps Since WHITE is the merging of ALL COLOR, I think we are already People of Color.
