I dated a girl with rich parents in college. One weekend, we visited her parent's place. They had a house keeper or maid type of person who cooked for them. The girl I was dating... wanted her pancakes cut up by the maid. The maid justified not cutting this girl's pancakes because she didn't want my date to look bad by doing that. Basically a subtle way of saying "you'd look like an idiot if you don't cut your own pancakes in front of a guest."

Anyway, weekend ended. I told my grandma, she made me dump her. My grandma was right. I knew she was right. I just needed to know it was right.
