I’ve shot a S&W .500 Magnum. Shot it with trigger pull and on a hammer pull. Hair trigger with the hammer pulled, but on both shots it was a manageable kick. It’ll knock you back a little, but it won’t hurt your wrist.
Hmmm, interesting, how much do you weigh, if I may ask? And how many shots did you take? I'm pretty strong and I'm a qualified expert with pistol, so I know how to shoot, lol, but my wrists get a little sore after a day of shooting .45 /.357, never fired anything (pistol) larger than that...
When I shot it, there was 1 guy shooting slugs out of a 12 gauge in the range (indoor). Nobody blinked an eye. The second the .500 went off, everyone put their gun down to see what happened. 🤣
is that a nitro express round? If so, that revolver must be almost 2 feet long.
I have a Taurus Raging Bull in 454 Casull and a S&W 500 and those are enough for me. I cant imagine shooting that. You fire it once out of curiosity then never again.
It shoots thru schools.
WTF is that?
revolver in 45-70 government 🙂
Ah, one of these:

Shut up and take my whole family's stimulus checks!
Yikes! I'm 175 # and I'm not sure I would do it! Lol. Maybe with some kind of wrist brace? Shit, my wrist is hurting just looking at it!...🤔🇺🇸

180lbs, 5’10”. 6 shots in about 1 minute.
I wasn’t shooting it the whole time, but in the same range day, I shot .357/.44/9mm/.40/.30-06/5.56.
I’d say the .500 is about ~3x the kick of a .44.
Hmm, thx, we're pretty close,k, you talk me into it, if I get a chance I'll try a cycle...with wrist wraps of course!...lol..🐸🇺🇸
It’s fun.

I had a 454 Casull back in the 90;s. Shoulda never sold it.
yeah. I managed to draw a brown bear tag for Kodiak Island when I lived in Alaska and I bagged one with it. One of the best memories of my life.
No, it’s a 45-70 govt
.45-70. A beast of a round. Usually in rifles used for big game.
