I just found out a place in the liberal Santa Cruz area is based as well. There was a post on Nextdoor about not going there. I will eating there soon.
Sheesh... As a non-user of social media, based on a mailing I decided to try Nextdoor. Seemed like a good idea for very local info and such. Whoa! The Karens and male soy runs rampant. Everyone complaining about anti-maskers and getting into other peoples business. I made one post that only quoted the Ben Franklin saying regarding giving up liberty for safety and had the post deleted by some asshole. That was the end of that.
Yeah, it's a cancer. I joined Nextdoor and found out my neighbors were organizing an anti-Trump protest to stand on abuse corner in town and hold signs. I tried to make the point that not everyone in our neighborhood shares their particular political views, including me. They told me that I needed to move. Needless to say I deleted my account and haven't been back
Nextdoor is cancer. It's the worst parts of HOA culture combined with those people with an inclination to be nosy and delight in either interfering with others' lives, or injecting their toxic brand of useless self-righteous commentary into every issue.
Where I grew up, HOA meetings literally resulted in fistfights a few times, among grown-ass well-heeled adults--and this was before the internet even existed. In that sense, Nextdoor is nothing new. It just puts those awful tendencies online in plain sight.
Very well stated. My parents retired to Florida 30 years ago and bought a house in an HOA community. Whoa. We all swore to never do that again. They bought another house 10 years later, where I live now. No HOA.

Funny how that works... they think they're eliciting some big boycott but in reality they're just giving the place free advertisement.
Someone make an app that notifies you when leftists cancel a business near you, so you can go support them.
cancelDAR?
Also, so it can't be used to organize some bs protest, it needs to require a password on launch: "Who is* the best (maybe second best) POTUS?"
The app then generates a weekly report on how much revenue increased and posts it to twitter.
Holy shit I just defeated cancel culture.
*present tense intentional
Please share the details. I'd head over the hill in a heartbeat to find a place for patriots.
It is called wylder in Felton. They have a different menu everyday and it very fresh food.
Here is the link that started it all.
