Not so fast, there are tens of thousands of property owners who have not received rent in months due to COVID. Since they can't pay the mortgage and the banks don't care the government can just come in and due to "compassion" buy the property for pennies on the dollar and use it as they see fit?

They are called hotels. They'll either do it with outlandish $$ or be eminent domain bullshit.
