The lockdown isn't about COVID. The lockdown is about how Miami Beach has been totally overrun by ghetto trash. It's not college spring breakers, but straight up thugs and degenerates who have overrun what normally is a pretty classy area. The first time I ever saw a woman with face tattoos was last weekend. Crime has gone up considerably from what I've seen, and you've probably seen that too with news of shooting which normally basically never happens on Miami Beach.
So honestly, I hate the lockdowns as much as anyone, but I'm not really sure what else the city can do. How do we prevent ghetto trash from showing up? Serious question. The normal high end clubs like LIV are closed right now, so it's not drawing the classy crowd. Apparently Miami Beach has been going downhill for a while now with the ratchet crowd, and people go to Brickell (downtown Miami, mainland) instead.
I wanted to make this post because right wing media is criticizing the lockdown, and I don't blame them, but there is more to the story than just that. Honestly, I'd like to see our media start covering the ghetto invasion of Miami Beach...they're going to call us racist no matter what, so might as well just tell the truth.
The city might be saying it's for COVID, but that's purely to avoid the charge of muh racism. I'm open to ideas on how to fix this, but don't know.
I drove around through the strips down by South Beach when I was headed back north from the Keys, and I saw everything I needed to see. Looked like a degenerate ghetto hell hole.
The whole city and everything looked pretty cool aside from that and the psychopaths on the highway. I've lived in some major metropolitan areas before, and I've never been so close to being involved in serious accidents as I was on my drive around the Miami area. People just do not give a fuck.
