Never been a "boot licker", but did "back the blue". I still believe there are a lot of good cops out there, but I now also believe that Covid has proven that there are way many more police willing to go along with whoever is in charge so they don't risk their precious pensions than I could have ever imagined.

Backing the blue is no longer an automatic response. They've lost that implicit trust and now must earn it.
