It's unbelievable. They're not even old enough to consent and these life-long decisions are being made for them. There needs to be more of a scientific consensus on what constitutes gender "dysphoria." It's currently defined by the psychological community which just doesn't sit well with me. I'm not saying they have a mental or neurological illness, but we need to look further into what's happening here to make sure everyone involved is safe and happy.
I knew a woman that went through premature menopause due to breast cancer treatments. These are the pitfalls of premature menopause:
Higher risk of heart disease and osteoporsis
More severe menopausal symptoms - hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia...
Increased risks of colon and ovarian cancer, periodontal disease, tooth loss, and cataract formation due to decreased estrogen
Decreased libido and loss of interest in sex due to vaginal discomfort
That's just a few...
This is IN ADDITION to the hormones they will add. Not only do they have to induce menopause, but they have to masculinize you. It's just a mess.
yep. so then that girl is looking at the possibility of premature hair loss and whatever else testosterone does.
