Boynton was a blip and more so connected to delray and boca heading south. It wasnβt until n.w. 22nd was added to the highway that there was even a way to exit before the last span between boynton and lantana.
Thereβs also hypoluxo in between and that serves as another land block from connecting lantana and everything south of that.
I left the area back in the late 80βs early 90βs. My family is still there, though, and I visit yearly. When I left there were still ponderosa pines and open fields with eckerd drugstores buying up every corner lot there was. Now, itβs just a giant expanse of concrete headed out west, past 441 which used to be known as βbeyond the back 40.β
