A mason jar, water, favorite coffee and 24 hours. You can heat it up after, more punchy caffeine wise than average brew.

personal preference but I have use a 4-1 ratio. 4 parts water to 1 of coffee. So I make a quart using 4 cups water, 1 cup coffee. I make mine a little concentrated so I can mix if need be, put over ice (the melt won't hurt too) much or add to a brew to give it a boost.
